Rather not have to push the button all the time and dont want to purchase the joystick product. Also we have a ez guide plus sitting around and wondering if there is any sort of trade in program with case ih for them right now or if there ever was?Thanks3/4/2012 19:42 (#2267799 - in reply to #2267783) Subject: Re: Ez Steer foot pedal with 750Morris, ILMaybe link will work now. We run what looks like same foot switch with CIH FM 750 (same as CFX 750 ) and EZ steer.
It just plugs into the middle port on the ezsteer. I think dealer said he had to turn it on in the pervious EZ guide 500, would guess he had to do same thing when we upgraded to 750 but i wasn't around to know.
Trimble Cfx 750 Manual
Works great and i wouldn't go without it. The buttons on the 750 are hard for me to hit while moving, my fingers are to fat.In the picture its the big one, i numbered it #2.
Helpful tip on ez steer, Number the cords and identify the top, its a huge time saver for me. Edited by NEILFarmer 3/4/2012 19:47. As said above it just plugs into the middle port on the controller. You will need to go into Settings - Vehicle - Autosteer - EZ-Steer Setup - Engage Options - EZ-Steer External Switch, and change that setting from the default (which is disabled ) to Remote Engage. Hit the green arrow and back out of the settings menus, and should work just fine. I believe that there is a delay on the footpedal, so you will need to hold it down for about 1.5 seconds for it to engage the system. There is a Trade Up program running through the end of June, where if you trade in your EZ-Guide Plus (or other competitive displays ) in towards the purchase of a new FM750 or FM1000, Trimble will provide you an GPS receiver unlock code for higher accuracy (ex.
WAAS to Omnistar ) worth $2000. I changed the mounting in one tractor and i think i need to redo it. Or should i just call my dealer and ask him to come out, probably wouldn't cost me anything. If i could just do it i'd probably try to so i don't have to bother him with something this simple. I see you have an FM750 in one of the pictures above, so to get to the T2 Roll cal in that display I believe you need to go through the EZ-Steer Calibration Wizard.
Settings - Vehicle - Autosteer - Easy Steer Setup - EZ Steer Calibration Wizard. If the tractor has previously been calibrated you should be able to arrow through the vehicle type and antenna offset screens (as the values from the previous cal will be displayed ), and you will get to the Roll Compensation screen. Arrow over to the next screen and put in the controller orientation, arrow over and it will ask if you would like to perform the T2 calibration (it defaults to NO, so select Yes and arrow over.
)Follow through the steps for the T2 Cal. If I remember correctly, it will ask you if you want to reset Angle per Turn, Aggressiveness etc. Need to make sure to select NO before arrowing over to the next screens. At that point it may make you create an AB line, so do that, but you will be able to arrow through all of the screens to the end of the wizard (as again the values shown on those screens will reflect the last calibration ). Once you get to the end of the Wizard it will display all the values entered, hit the green arrow again and it will save the settings for the EZ Steer system. After I get back to the mapping screen, I always go back into the Settings menu - System - Advanced - Save/Load Configurations - Save Current - Save to internal, and name it the model of machine its in.

Also, what exactly is updated by doing this?Posted 3/13/2012 23:11 (#2286097 - in reply to #2286010) Subject: Re: Trimble CFX 750 FirmwareMinnesotaTo Update the CFX 750, you will need to download the display firmware (and monitor firmware 1.17, if updating to display version 1.9 ) onto a USB Memory device. You should then be able to insert the USB into the back of the CFX display and power it on, steps for doing the update will show on the screen when the USB device is recognized.
The updates will let you access new features (such as RTX ), improve the user interface, and correct glitches that have been found in prior firmware releases, among other things. Here is a link to the firmware-Once you get the USB in the display you will need to make sure to install the Monitor Firmware (vers. 1.17 ) before installing the display firmware (vers. 1.9 ).Display version 2.0 or 2.1 will be released soon also. I'm not sure what version i have now, got the FM 750 last spring and it hasn't been touched since. If it's really old can I go to this 1.9 without any problems? Will a sandisk cruzer work?
Another question, this is a Case IH FM 750, will this still all work the same as a trimble CFX 750? You will be able to install version 1.9, don't need to worry about any versions in between what is on your display and 1.9. I have had good luck with most USB drives, if you insert it in the display, power it up, and the display doesn't acknowledge there is a USB drive connected (USB icon in the upper right corner is green ), or an info window saying that new firmware as been found, chances are the USB drive isn't going to work. Doesn't matter if you get the firmware that is Trimble or Case branded, its all the same. The branding is in the base display firmware from the factory.Posted 3/14/2012 01:17 (#2286355 - in reply to #2286351) Subject: Re: Trimble CFX 750 FirmwareMorris, ILThanks again IH1486Posted 3/14/2012 08:47 (#2286585 - in reply to #2286010) Subject: Re: Trimble CFX 750 FirmwareSW IdahoI was doing some unrelated research and one of the sites I came across had firmware for the 750.
